Some students benefit from a few weeks of tutoring to close knowledge gaps in a specific topic while others benefit greatly from regular sessions to keep up with course material. We will create a tutoring plan that best addresses your student's unique needs. All tutoring sessions are held virtually via video conferencing.
From learning sentence structure in lower elementary, to mastering the five paragraph essay in middle school, to crafting free response essays in high school Advanced Placement courses, to explaining undergraduate research results – mastering good writing is a ongoing endeavor! Ms. Lawson has worked with students as an in-person classroom teacher, an online teacher, and a private tutor for nearly a decade. Not only has she helped her students meet and exceed national academic standards, but students also leave her courses having gained insights on how they learn best and confidence in advocating for themselves.

Most recently, she served as the Global Program Manager of Dwight Global Online School where she developed online course standards, comprehensive faculty training, and curriculum content as the Canvas LMS administrator. Ms. Lawson also led continuous improvement initiatives that impacted the family onboarding process, school culture, and virtual/in-person programming.

Ms. Lawson holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Loyola University Chicago, a postgraduate certificate in Molecular Biotechnology from the University of Birmingham, UK, and a certificate in Online School Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
