Writing Coaching

Whether a student opts for asynchronous or synchronous writing services, the service will always include:
​     ✔ comparison of the submitted writing against the provided writing prompt and grading rubric
​     ✔ evaluation of the focus, organization, word choice, and grammar in the piece of writing
     ✔ review of consistency and accuracy of the writing format used (MLA, APA, Chicago, etc)
     ✔ plagiarism check

​Asynchronous Writing Review
For asynchronous writing review:
  1. Student submits their writing electronically.
  2. Student also provides the original writing prompt and grading rubric as well as any other relevant information.
  3. Writing Coach reviews the submission.
  4. Detailed feedback is provided to the student. 
  5. If a student opts for more than one round of review, the student is expected to submit writing with the suggested improvements completed for the next review round.

Asynchronous writing review fees start at $50 and increase based on word count and desired number of review rounds.

Synchronous Writing  Coaching
For synchronous writing coaching:
  1. Student submits their piece of writing electronically.
  2. Student also provides the original writing prompt and grading rubric as well as any other relevant information.
  3. Writing coach will review the writing submission and prepare detailed feedback.
  4. During a live virtual meeting (1-hour), the tutor guide the student through feedback, modeling suggestions and answering student questions.​
  5. If a student opts for more than one virtual meeting, the student is expected to come subsequent sessions with discussed writing improvements completed.

Synchronous writing coaching fees start at $90 and ​increase based on word count and desired number of coaching sessions.
